Why ICO?
The ICO community is a family. I feel supported by my colleagues and our administration. I feel fulfilled working with our patients, growing as a doctor and passing my knowledge on to our students and residents.
Biography
Dr. Speilburg is an Associate Professor at ICO. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan and graduated with valedictory honors from the Illinois College of Optometry. She has worked full time at ICO/IEI since completing their residency program in Primary Care and Ocular Disease. She teaches optometry students and residents in the laboratory, classroom and patient care clinics of ICO. Her research and clinical interests include glaucoma, ocular disease and primary eye care. She is the coordinator of the Primary Optometric Procedures curriculum and co-teaches glaucoma in the Ocular Disease curriculum. Dr. Speilburg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society, American Optometric Association and Illinois Optometric Association.
