Our research has grown tremendously over the last ten years, and the quality of our work continues to be recognized nationally.

 

This year, Zhiming (Jimmy) Tu ’24 received the 2024 American Public Health Association Vision Care Section’s Morton W. Silverman Outstanding Student Paper (Project) Award. This is the same award that Rachel Breliant, OD ’23 received in 2023, Manisha Parikh, OD ’23 received in 2022, and Connor Robbs, OD ’22 received in 2021.

 

This year, ICO faculty, Yi Pang, OD, PhD and Lindsay Sicks, OD ’10, and ICO alumnus, Manisha Parikh, OD ’23 also received the 2024 VCS Outstanding Scientific Paper (Project) Award.

 

These awards are especially exciting because they are presented by the American Public Health Association, which spans all ophthalmic disciplines. Congratulations to all our students who have recently received these awards. This is quite a feat!
